Set Yourself Up For Success
As 2026 opens up new doors and possibilities for each of you, I wanted to dive right into this new year with one of my favorite topics: Setting yourself up for success in your wardrobe! Loving the pieces in your closet and finding ease in getting dressed each morning begins with the fundamentals. Here are a few tips I work through with clients when assessing their wardrobes:
Back to the Basics - Do you have the basics in your wardrobe? Much like what people call a capsule wardrobe, I believe there are pieces that everyone should have in their closet. Things like a nice fitting pair of jeans, a blazer, even well fitted tee. Message me if you want to know this full list, to start combing through your wardrobe to see what pieces might be missing.
Good as New - As you all know I do not believe in buying something new for every occasion. But what I do believe in is buying new basics on a regular basis to keep the core part of your wardrobe fresh. Is your white shirt stained? Or your button down a little too snug? Time to swap those out for a fresh modern piece!
Colors, Colors, Colors - Don’t worry, I’m not about to tell you to pack your wardrobe with all the colors of the rainbow knowing many of you are lovely neutral gals! But what I will say is to take inventory of your clothing and see where your color preference lies. Do you stick to neutrals but seem to have a bunch of shades that do work together? Or are you all about the bold color yet feel you never have that simple shirt when you really need it? There is a good balance to be found on both sides, and it is a great way to assess your wardrobe as it stands.
Mix and Match - As you begin going out and purchasing items, think of how each piece can mix and match into your existing wardrobe. You want to make sure you can stretch your dollar and make things work for you. Smart choices only!!!
I hope this helps get you off on a wonderful foot in this new year when it comes to your clothes and being able to show up for yourself! May this be the start to your BEST year yet!
With LOVE and grace,
Elizabeth
