Another Year Around The Sun
There is something about my birthday that has me pause and reflect on my life. Today I’m 46 and I’m feeling pretty good about that for the most part. At the top of my list, is gratitude for my health and my family’s health. That’s always the first thing I mention in my prayers is how grateful I am for my family’s health. While the teen years can be hard, I also love this age with my kiddos. They really are so fun! I’m beyond grateful for my work. I adore my clients, love being able to help build their confidence through their wardrobe and have flexibility with my schedule. It’s really such rewarding work! I’m so thankful to live in a community and country that is safe. As an American, we can sometimes take that for granted. And I just love building my life with Nad as my partner. He pushes me to be the best version of myself but he mostly makes life so much more fun. Day to day we can get caught up in the little things, but these are really the things that matter to me as I reflect on my life right now.
I’ve never really been one that cries over my age and typically appreciates each stage of my life. I do LOVE this stage too, but I honestly could do without the perimenopause situation. If you are somewhere close to my age, you know what I’m talking about. This last year has been a slow one in educating myself on all “the changes”. Thank goodness for girlfriends that you can talk through all of this with and share resources. I’ve been trying to make small changes to support myself and for longevity. It’s definitely not something that changes overnight and so I’m still trying to keep a positive attitude that I’m headed in the right direction.
Even though things are changing, I’m still embracing how to find beauty and confidence through it all. Of course, my wardrobe is a big part of that. It’s always been a type of armor for me and that is still the case at age 46. This armor of sorts equips me (and my clients) to be the best version of myself. I’m still evolving as a human AND within my personal style. I appreciate this part of my journey as well.
Today as a newly 46 year old, I’m overall extremely grateful for my life and for YOU! Thank you for being here with me on this journey!!!!
with LOVE and grace,
Elizabeth
