Travel to Perfection

Travel season is here, and boy am I ready for a little fun!! But more than anything else, I am ready for some pristine packing (can you tell I’m a stylist)?? Every year I let you all know the secrets to packing - Pick a color scheme, pack shoes first, and go from there!

This year, I want to give a little more insight on some pieces I love to bring year round, that help me eliminate items leaving most with a stuffed to the brim suitcase.

Gauzy Button Down - I LOVE a good button down! And regardless of the color scheme you choose (neutrals, blacks, bright colors) adding a gauzy button down into the mix helps on many occasions. You can throw it on open with a swimsuit as your cover up, tuck it into a skirt or shorts, or tie it up with your slacks and jeans!

Slide on Flats - As I always say, it’s important to pack a flat, sandal and a heel. But for me, the most important is the FLAT! A great pair of slide on flats can be worn not only dressed up with your night out looks, but also with your travel wear for easy access on and off. And as a little bonus… they can be used as your easy on and off when you need to run down the hall or get ice in a hotel!

Versatile Purse - This one is SOOO important in my opinion. Packing, especially for a plane, always has you debating over a bag to bring. Do you pack a big one up for extra storage, and then are left lugging around a tote all vacation? My rule with bags is that it should be versatile. No matter the size, big or small, make sure it has a shoulder strap (bonus if it can be worn as a cross body too) and arm handles. Or something that can be a fanny pack and a shoulder bag. Anything you can switch up will make you feel like you’ve maximized your wardrobe while away, and give options when needed.

Happy trails to you all as you embark on fun adventures!!

With LOVE and grace,

Elizabeth
